I am making available two options available for State Mandated Tests - Calendars.
One option will provide you with a file to download in i-cal format which will allow you to import the dates into most programs that use a calendar (including Outlook).
You will find these files in this forum with the title "State Mandated Testing Calendar (school year)". They will be yearly calendars.
The second option is a continually updated calendar which also will work in most calendar programs (including Outlook). This calendar can be added to Outlook by pasting the follwing look into Internet Explorer
webcal://calendars.office.microsoft.com/pubcalstorage/8p9hfqrz897053/StateMandatedTests_Calendar.icsThe are a couple of differences in the way these calendars behave, please take the time to read below to see which calendar best suits your purposes.
1st Option download a new file for each year.
2008-2009 and
2009-2010Pros:
Option to integrate with your default calendar in Outlook on import.
Cons:
Once you've imported the dates they are set. Any changes that need to be made you will have to make yourself (testing date changes, error in entry, etc.)
Need to download the new file each year.
2nd Option Subscribe to continually updated calendar by pasting the following link into Internet Explorer
webcal://calendars.office.microsoft.com/pubcalstorage/8p9hfqrz897053/StateMandatedTests_Calendar.icsPros:
Self updating. If their are errors found in the calendar or a testing date changes, it will update automatically.
Once subscribed to the calendar that's all you have to do, every year it will be updated.
Cons:
Outlook adds this as an additional calendar; you can easily drag and drop the dates on to your default calendar. You can even drag it to a specific time slot if you would like (which might make this a "pro" if that appeals to you).
